Marylu Cortez was born and raised in Los Angeles and obtained her B.A. in English at U.C. Berkeley in 2015. She is the proud daughter of immigrants and a first-generation college graduate in her family.

Marylu is passionate about having a career that enables her to facilitate keeping families together. She enjoys working with clients from various cultural backgrounds. Her favorite part about working at an immigration law firm is being able to utilize her writing skills and education to give back to her community.

Outside of her work, Marylu enjoys painting, reading, attending concerts and exploring the beautiful outdoors of Oregon.
