Avery Sorensen

Avery Sorensen has been with Hecht and Norman as a legal assistant since November 2015. Avery’s education steered her to this important line of work. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in History and a minor in Spanish from Oregon State University.

There, she served as the vice president of the Spanish club and studied abroad in Spain for two months. She also worked in OSU’s multicultural archives, which introduced her to immigrants’ stories and the importance therein.

The passion her education rendered to her for history, cultures, languages, and helping others led her into a career working with immigrants. She enjoys learning everyone’s story and being given the opportunity to learn about different cultures and connect with personal journeys.

In her free time, she enjoys traveling, crocheting/knitting, and spending time with her young nieces and nephews.
