Heather graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Public Policy in 2017. During Heather’s time at the UO, she was an active member of the ASUO student government, Order of Omega national honor society, and was an intern with several community and political organizations.
It was during these volunteer experiences, with organizations such as Food for Lane County and Looking Glass Station 7, which Heather found her passion for community engagement and advocacy. Heather incorporates skills from those experiences to advocate for policies that foster a thriving and inclusive community that is representative of under-served populations. She enjoys working with individuals from different cultures and finding solutions to their immigration matters that ensure their comfort and security.
When Heather is not at work, you can find her spending time with her seven nieces and nephews, and her dog, Rusty.
